Metal Corner L Brackets: Production & Application in Furniture
Manufacturing Process
Production begins with cold-rolled steel coils (1.2-3mm thickness) or sheets of aluminum being fed into CNC punch presses. The high-precision tooling punches out L-shaped profiles as well as stamping ribbed patterns that provide additional load-bearing capacity. High-grade variants are also stamped to create triangular gusset reinforcements in the joint.
The brackets move through deburring machines, which remove sharp edges via abrasive brushes. Then they go through surface treatment - zinc electroplating for corrosion-resistant finishes or powder coating when color-matched finishes are preferred. Quality inspections are conducted for dimensional accuracy (typical tolerance is ±0.5mm) and coating thickness (minimum 8μm zinc coating). Automatic packing machines sort brackets into various sizes (typical sizes: 25x25mm to 100x100mm) in anti-tarnish paper protection.
